HC DrugFree provides resources and education on prevention, treatment, recovery, and health and wellness to help Howard County residents develop knowledge and skills to understand and address behavioral health (substance use and mental health) disorders.

Your Teen Can Make a Difference

HC DrugFree’s Teen Advisory Council (TAC) meets one Monday evening a month and is open to all Howard County high school students. Community service hours are available for all meetings and events.

Opioid Overdose Response Program (ORP) 

The Howard County Health Department offers FREE Opioid Overdose Response Program monthly virtual trainings. Sign up for a free virtual training and receive a Narcan kit.

 

Registration is required. Call our Bureau of Behavioral Health at 410-313-6202 or email orpresponse@howardcountymd.gov for more information!

Medication & Sharps Disposal

October 23 at 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Save the (tentative) date for our semi-annual prescription and over-the-counter Medication & Sharps (needles, syringes and EpiPens) Collection to be held in the Wilde Lake Village Center parking lot in Columbia. More event information and volunteer registration instructions will be available here by early September.
