Mental Health
The MRHS PTSA is pleased to announce the establishment of a new committee dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of the MRHS school community.
This committee will partner with other PTSA committees, MRHS student organizations, and community organizations that focus on addressing mental health issues and improve awareness of mental health resources. Look for details here and in the PTSA newsletter.
Mental Health Resources
Since 1979, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has served the residents of Howard County with free mental health education programs, support groups, and referral services. NAMI partners with school-based clubs and parents organizations such as MRHS PTSA to deliver engaging presentations that help students and parents learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental health condition. Visit NAMI's website to learn about their outstanding, peer-led education, skills training, and support programs.
